4. AnyWnd
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows how to use the WinLIFT's skAnyWnd window class.
It demonstrates the use of child windows within a WinLIFT's control holder.
Registered users, please unzip the demo in a new directory because it uses a restricted version of SKENGINE.DLL.
To start the demo type: ANYWND.

5. CD-player
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows how to use the MCI and the main mixer control volume.
You will need the provided WIN32API.INC in order to recompile the file.
To start the demo type: SKPLAYER, you must have of course a CD-ROM drive and a CD-AUDIO in it.

6. Minimal (Animated bitmaps)
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows the minimal Skin Engine functions to use, to create a full skinned window.
It demonstrates also the use of the WinLIFT's animated bitmaps.
To start the demo type: MINIMAL.EXE

7. Progress
This example, written in PowerBASIC, is based on the INPUT example.
It shows how to use a "Skin" progress bar within the WinLIFT client area.
To use this example unzip the file in a new directory.
To start the demo type: PROGRESS.EXE

8. Universal Browser
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows how to skin Internet Explorer using both WinLIFT and the COM/ActiveX engine from JAZZAGE software. Microsoft Internet Explorer must already be installed on the computer before you can run the demo. The COM/ActiveX is still in beta, you must check with JAZZAGE when it will become available officially.
The IE ActiveX control used for the demo is more than a Web browser, it is a Universal Browser. It will let you display, print and even program such different types of documents as:
- HTML pages,
- Word documents,
- Excel spreadsheets,
- Visio drawings,
- PowerPoint presentations,
- Shockwave movies,
- etc.
Furthermore, once a document has been loaded in the IE OCX it can be fully programmed in PowerBASIC using the code generated by JA COM/PB to access its COM object model, opening tremendous new opportunities to the PB
developers. The demo program will accept a qualified file name from the command line and will then display that document. The document name could be either a url or any document that can be displayed in the IE OCX.
To start the demo type: SKWEBBR.EXE.

9. Manager
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows how to create a small task manager using the WinLIFT Skin Engine functions. It is based on the main "ZAP manager" module. To use this example you should unzip the file in the same directory holding the "skwebbr.zip" and "minimal.zip" demo (these 2 files have been updated to work with the "manager" demo)
To start the demo type: MANAGER.EXE

10. Input
This example, written in PowerBASIC, shows how to use controls within the WinLIFT client area.
It could be used as a database input form template.
There are full working radio buttons, check button, up and down control, progress bar, common dialogs, password protection and verification.
The engine data manager allows filtering of input such as:
alpha, numeric (minus sign allowed), integer only, date only (with full verification), enhanced ucase, international decimal support, etc.
To use this example unzip the file in a new directory.
To start the demo type: INPUT.EXE

11. ZAP Image solution
There are several trial versions of our commercial packages (archiving, multimedia, imaging),
see them all at:

12. MLM (Library Manager)
This program archives ANY KIND of document within a single file, it works like WINZIP.
It uses the dvBTree engine to handle the index part.
It has a full API, which allows to use it from inside any 32-bit software.
To use this example unzip the file in a new directory and look at the README.TXT file.
To start the demo type: MLM.EXE

mlm.zip 487 108 bytes (click the link to start download) released on 03-20-2000

13. dvBTree (BTree index manager)
(Full 32-bit multi-user adaptation of the original Joe Vest's B-Tree)
Allows a program to work simultaneously with several open indexes.
Uses only native Windows API I/O for fast disk access.
The engine handles just the index part, allowing you to use any random format to store the data.
To use the 2 examples, unzip the file in a new directory.
The demo comes with the full documentation in Word .DOC format.
